3. Secretary Sports Council Endorsement: The J&K Sports Council issues the official 'Sports Merit Certificate' under S.O. 12.
4. Online Submission on jkssb.nic.in: Upload the verified Sports Merit Certificate under the horizontal 5% reservation quota during job application.

Direct appointments to Gazetted (Level 8 / Class I/II e.g. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Assistant Director) and Non-Gazetted positions for international medalists and participants.

• Eligible Competitions: Olympic Games, Paralympic Games, Asian Games, Commonwealth Games, World Cups / World Championships in recognized disciplines.
• Evaluation Authority: High-Level Screening Committee chaired by the Chief Secretary, J&K Government.
• Cadre Allocation: Gazetted posts in Home (J&K Police) and Youth Services & Sports; Non-Gazetted executive posts across line departments.

S.O. 12 of 2022: 5% Sports Quota in JKSSB

Statutory 5% horizontal reservation across all non-gazetted recruitment advertisements issued by Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB).

• Level 1 to Level 5 Hierarchy: Senior Nationals, SGFI National School Games, All India Inter-University (AIU), Khelo India Games, and UT Championships in recognized sports.
• Statutory Prerequisite: Official Sports Merit Certificate counter-signed by DYSS and endorsed by Secretary, J&K Sports Council.
